William Johnson is a top tier barber from Baltimore, Maryland. He began cutting hair at the age of 12 and he instantly had a passion for the artistry that is involved with being a barber. When he became of age, William decided to take his talents to the U.S. Army. Throughout his years in the military, William lived in a total of 27 states and 3 countries. It is through his travels and time in the Army that William obtained a great deal of knowledge about the world around him and evolved into the man that he is today. After his tour in the military, William returned home to Baltimore and began his new job as a correctional officer. Upon his retirement as a correctional officer, William returned to his roots and decided to revisit his passion of barbering.

William took his first step towards his barbering career by attending Simon Avara’s International Academy of Hair and Design. He was talented enough to graduate at the top of his class and went on to work in several barber shops in the area until he decided to open his own barbershop where he gives everyone a ‘VIP Treatment’. William’s skills and dedication began to receive attention when he began attending hair shows. Now with his own barber shop, Charm City Clipper Company, William spends his time working his hairstyling magic on clients of all ages and backgrounds. William takes pride in not only his endless talents but also the unique aura of pleasant conversation that takes place in his shop. In addition to working in his own shop, William is an educator to upcoming barbers that typically have issues with retaining information and/or problems with certain haircut techniques. He also prides himself as an old school role model to the younger men in the industry and stays true to his old style haircuts but with an upscale, urban balance.
